Hadith 2: Racism

Hadith 2: Racism Prophet Muhammad, May Allah send peace and blessings upon him, said:People are like the teeth of the combCommentary by Sheikh Nematullah/Marcia Hermanson: Meaning that they (people) are all equal, like the teeth of a comb, since they are all descendants of Adam (A.S). Karachi Burns on the Day of Ashura: Blood and Destruction Shook the Province

 Umer Sultan- December 29, 2009 AD/ 11 Muharram, 1431 AH

Cars parked outside a government building were set on fire. From Dawn News

Today was the Day of Ashura in Pakistan, and as normal the Shia Muslims where having their Tazia in the commemoration of the martyrdom of the Grandson of Prophet Muhammad, Hazrat Imam Hussein ibn Ali (R.A). Despite of Police security, a suicide bomber penetrated the procession, and bombed the innocent people giving death and destruction to thousands of families who lost their loved ones in it.  Various parts of Karachi were put on flames by unknown people, and so far officially 32 40 people have passed away (updated on Jan 3rd). No Police Force, No Rangers and no other Government security agency was there to stop the destruction in the immediate aftermath of the suicide bombing.

Recently Pakistan has been under attack by many different groups. Different foreign agencies are operating, extremist and militant groups are targeting under the label “Taliban,” now known as “Pakistani Taliban,” since they have been disowned by The Talibans, which are Afghan Talibans. No one has taken responsibility of these heinous acts.  The victims of this attacks were not Shia only but Sunnis too but that doesn’t matter. Who will take responsibility of this crime is something to watch. There might be a banned extremist group like Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Jaish-e-Muhammad, and some other group, there might be some other group disguised as Taliban (disguised because we don’t know who these Pakistani Taliban really are).  There is a possibility that this might be an operation by some agency, or some political element of Pakistan, there might and might and might… Continue reading

Hadith 8: Be Content With What You Posses

Hadith 8: Be Content With What You Posses

Prophet Muhammad SAW said:

“A little that suffices is better than an abundance that distracts.”

Commentary by Sheikh Nematullah/Marcia Hermanson:

This means that a little that suffices of worldly goods is enough. A person should not strive to amass wealth for its own sake but rather should be content with what they possess, as wealth generally gives rise to arrogance towards the truth: “Surely man is arrogant, for he thinks himself self sufficient” [Sura (Chapter) Iqra’, Al-Quran]. It distracts from the Lord and the Next World.”

Shah Waliullah Ad-Dehlavi. Al Arbai’n, Turath Publishing, 1429 AH/ 2008 AD.

Hadith is narrated by Shah Waliullah Ad-Dehlavi in his 40 Hadith collection known as Al Arbain, with a straight chain of narrators from his teacher to Imam Hussein (R.A).

Best Method Is Deplomacy

Hadith (saying of Prophet Muhammad) “War is Deception” narrated by Shiekh Al Hadith Shah Waliullah in his collection “Al Arba’in” (Collection of Forty Ahadiths). In the commentary to this hadith, Shaykh Nematullah stated:

“Achieving victory without armed conflict is more perfect, and this is attained through diplomacy rather than confrontation–since there is no risk of physical danger. It is not permissible to violate peace agreements.”

His collection is different from other 40 Hadith collections by other numerous scholars because his collection of Al Arbai’n are directly narrated through the straight chain of narrations from Hazrat Imam Husain (R.A).
