Many Muslims don’t bother to ask legitimate Scholars in Islam regarding their questions and concerns. Instead they leave their questions on Youtube, Blogs and Facebook. What are you, kids! Grow up. Learn your Deen from the people of knowledge and wisdom. Don’t ask questions from random people and take it as Islam.
Usually the teens and young adults do this. Besides seeking Fatwa (religious opinions) on social networking sites, they ask random people- like a bearded guy or a sister who covers herself because they look “religious” or they ask a person who is very eloquent, gives great speeches.
Since when looking ‘religious’ or eloquence became a path toward achieving knowledge and wisdom of understanding Shariah!
Don’t be shy or afraid of going to a good scholar. Religious scholars are like Continue reading

My faith; the essence of my being,
Marvelous emotion churning in ones soul,
Close companions a sweet fragrance,
Ones in the distance like coal,
Theology the mother of purpose,
Giving birth to ambition,
I found this heart rendering story of a mother and her son online. For those who would take heed (myself being the first one) I post it on my blog. –Umer Sultan
My mum only had one eye, I hated her, she was such an embarrassment! She cooked for teachers and students to support the family. There was one day during primary school where she came to say hello to me. I was so embarrassed, how could she do this to me!
I ignored her, threw a hateful look and ran out.
The next day one of my class mates said “Eeww, your mum only has one eye!”
I wanted to bury myself, I also wanted my mum to disappear. So i confronted her and said, “If you’re only going to make me a laughing stock, why don’t you just die!”
My mum did not respond. I didn’t even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was full of anger!
I was oblivious to her feelings, I wanted out of that house. So I studied really hard and got a chance to go to Singapore. Then i got married. I bought a house of my own. I had kids of my own and I was happy with my life. Then one day my mother came to visit me. She hadn’t seen me in years and she didn’t even meet her grandchildren!
When she stood by the door my children laughed at her.
I screamed at her, “How dare you come to my house and scare my children! Get out of here now!” And to this my Continue reading
It is reported from Hazrat Abu Musa Ash’ari said that the Holy Prophet stated:
“The example of myself and this religion with which Allah hath sent me to this world is like that man’s who came to a people and said: ‘I have seen an army with my own eyes and I am an open Warner. Save yourself and achieve salvation.’ Then a group of people trusted him and slowly escaped from there and received salvation. And one group of his people falsified him and passed the night in their own houses. As soon as it was morning, an army pounced upon them, killed them and uprooted them totally. So this is the example of myself and the people who follow the religion brought by me, and it is also an example of those people who disobeyed me and falsified the religion brought by me.”
So before the army of the torturers starts torturing, launching an attack at the time of the agony of death, when no aid might come to dispel it, put up the barricades now and secure the borders, the only method of doing, which is to act upon the Holy Prophet’s auspicious ways. It has been clearly said in the above-mentioned Hadith that the people who obey the Holy Prophet are those who follow the truth which he has brought, and not those who claim verbally but their action is contrary to it.

We know a lot about Mongols.
Muslims see it as the dark chapter in their history- destruction of Baghdad, destruction of the libraries and Muslim civilization, destruction of Samarkand, Basra, and many other great cities of Persia and present day Afghanistan. Never ending hordes of horses. Barbaric warriors that would not stop for rest and meal and when thirsty would stab a horse and drink its blood. Inhuman humans, who would butcher even women and children and then would compete with skull mountains!
Europeans see Mongols as a powerful force that knocked at the door steps of Europe. A military power that took over Eastern European states. A power that could not be defeated.
